We are two friends, first-generation entrepreneurs, who grew up surrounded by the beauty, grace, and quiet artistry of our city. Since childhood, we dreamt of creating something of our own — something that would carry the essence of Lucknow beyond its borders..

During our college days, we noticed a pattern: visitors from across the country came to Lucknow to buy chikankari outfits and sold them elsewhere at prices that didn’t always do justice to the artisans behind them. It made us wonder — why shouldn’t the people of Lucknow themselves bring this heritage to the world, with honesty, pride, and fair value?

That question led to the birth of SIILKARI — a name born from two Hindi words: ‘Sil’, meaning sewing, and ‘Kari’, inspired by chikankari — the embroidery that defines our city’s soul.

We choose quality over quantity in everything we create — from our fabrics and fittings to the tiniest stitches that speak of patience and love.

Our small but passionate team works closely with local artisans — some from their homes, others from our workspace — ensuring every outfit carries the warmth of human touch and the pride of true craftsmanship.
